Minutes For USG 08-27-07.doc

Closing of the Northern Virginia Campus

So, they are closing the Northern Virginia Campus. We understand that it is due to excessive costs with the zoning and building of the planned campus. These cost and delays would prevent the school from having a permanent facility in the Northern Virginia area for at least a year. The school did not feel they would be able to actively promote that campus with only a temporary location.

We as a USG welcome the students that choose to move to the Utah campus. We hope y0u enjoy the mountains as much as we do!  All those who wish to comment about these changes and ask questions are welcome to on the USG Forum at this location (http://neumontusg.com/forum/index.php?topic=122.0)

Hey everyone,

The USG election has ended. 167 students voted today in what was a close race.

The new President and Vice President are Tyler “TJ” Garlick and Nick Smith. They will be in office for the next three quarters. If you have suggestions for the USG, they can be contacted at tyler.garlick@student.neumont.edu and nick.smith@student.neumont.edu, as well as the weekly meetings.

The next USG meeting will be on Monday at 12:15 in Room 201. All students are invited to attend and participate. If you are interested in becoming officially involved with the USG as a senator, you will be given instructions for doing so at a meeting.

Have a nice weekend.
